Processing
When an order for postcards or letters is submitted, it will give you a one hour window to cancel before it’s processed and printed.

Printing
Orders after 10am Eastern will be processed the next day.

Orders placed on weekends or after 10am Eastern Friday will not be printed until Monday morning.

Orders for Notecards placed by 8 PM Eastern are printed and mailed on the next USPS business day. USPS business days are defined as every day except Sundays and federal holidays.

Postcards and Letters may take up to 4 days to print.

Notecards are printed typically within 24 hours.

Delivery
Postcards and letters are sent USPS First Class. Typically this means the card will arrive at the recipient’s address 5-8 days after it is dropped off to be mailed out.

For deliveries outside of the USA, delivery times are typically double the USPS First Class Delivery estimate (10-16 days.)

Yes. We have a bunch of ready to go designs that you can use with just a few clicks. You can also build your own designs from scratch or using our Canva integration.

Yes. All prices include the cost of postage.

We use special handwritten fonts that are augmented with an AI to randomize pen pressure, line angle, glyphs and more. It is not an actual pen or person or robot writing each card.

We recommend any of the ‘realistic’ handwriting styles that are available when constructing message templates. Creating a message template is also the best way to ‘test drive’ the handwriting engine.

Our letters and postcards use recycled paper with between 10% and 100% PCW material.

EDDM or Every Door Direct Mail can be a useful tool for many businesses, but it’s not the perfect fit for everyone. To help you understand why Thanks.io does not utilize this service on your behalf we’ve outlined the pro’s and con’s of EDDM so you can decide what is best for your business.

Thanks.io specifically offers mailer sent via First-Class Mail.

With EDDM you do not need a mailing list as your mail lands in every mailbox of the specific neighborhood you choose. If you are a business that appeals to the masses (like pizza or fast food chains, gyms, local grocery delivery) then it can be beneficial but if you are a business that only appeals to a certain market then much of your mailing is wasted. With Thanks.io you can niche down and target a specific audience, thus saving you money because your not wasting it on the masses that are not your target market.

EDDM is attractive to many businesses because of its lower postage rates but businesses that choose EDDM over a more targeted approach tend to see less success and more waste of their campaigns. This is a blanket approach that is not always productive for a more niche specific business. Any upfront savings you might have on postage become wasted by those who discard your mailer because it doesn’t apply to them.

EDDM lacks personalization. There is no name associated with each address. If you use or buy a targeted mailing list you are reaching out to the recipient directly helping you to establish a stronger connection with them.

With EDDM you must pick a specific neighborhood and mail to the entire neighborhood. You cannot limit the amount you wish to send. It’s all or nothing. Example if you want to mail to 500 people this month and 500 people next month, with EDDM you cannot do this but with Thanks.io you control the amount of mailings you wish to do and in a timing that fits your budget.
